Influenced by the colorful hues of her Mother and Grandmother, who decorated their homes in

bright colors of pinks, golds and blues, artist Britt Ford takes influence from them, and has

created artistic expressions of her own colorful pieces of art, murals and interiors.

 

Britt Ford is a Tampa, FL based 33-year old multi discipline self-taught artist from Northern New Jersey.

Britt moved to Tampa in 2020 after living in Hoboken for ten years where she was influenced by historical buildings and brownstones, and the proximity to New York City. The self-taught artist has fallen in love with Tampa over the

past two years. “I instantly fell in love with the Hyde Park area because it reminded me of New Jersey with the

historical Victorian style homes, but had a mix of Floridian architecture and bungalows,” said Britt Ford.

 

In September 2021, Britt opened the first art gallery in the iconic Hyde Park Village located in South Tampa.

In 2016, Britt was commissioned to paint her first large scale mural for a private client in Hoboken’s historical

Neumann Leather Factory. Britt has gone on to paint vivid retro style murals for the city of Jersey City,

private clients in New York City and Southern Florida.

 

Britt currently serves as board member of the Tampa Foundation, a non-profit with a mission to inspire

Tampa Bay community through positive public art. “Tampa has provided me with so much growth and exploration,

I feel that my artwork has become more bright, exuberant and fun. I’m truly inspired by my surroundings,

be it historical buildings, flowers, fauna and local culture.”

 

Britt specializes in thermographic embossed artwork, interior and exterior murals, and residential/commercial design.
